Thank You, Leesburg & Loudoun County
34+ years ago, 2 "youngish" friends had a dream to strike out on their own and open a small pizza shop. And so began our journey...
Leesburg was a sleepy, little town on February 14, 1989, when Anwar & Sheryl opened Andy's Pizza and Subs on Catoctin Circle. We delivered menus door-to-door throughout the Town and beyond the Town limits, hoping that residents would give us a try and become customers. And WOW! Try us you did! And love our food you did! We had customers! YOU--the residents of Leesburg, and soon after, surrounding towns of Loudoun County and beyond--became our friends, and together, we have become family.
We are so proud to be part of this family. We know that all the great meals and hometown atmosphere at Andy's mean nothing without you. You put us on the map--and you have kept us there. From the small space that was the original Andy’s, to Bacchus Café, and now “big” Andy’s, you’ve been with us. As Leesburg has grown, so has Andy’s and the Andy's family. We are humbled by your loyalty. We are grateful that you have chosen us over and over and have included us in your happy--and sometimes sad--moments. We have been so fortunate to watch your families prosper, happy to see your kids grow up, and overjoyed to see them start families of their own.
It's hard to believe that 34 years have passed. We have lived more than half our lives here, and we're not as "youngish" as we were. Still, the decision to end our fabulous journey in Leesburg has not been an easy one; to be honest, it's been gut-wrenching. To our employees--past and present--we thank you for your help and support, for staying with us in challenging times, and for always keeping a positive attitude. To all of our customers--our friends and family, near and far--we cannot sufficiently express our gratitude, how lucky we are to know you, to serve you, and to cherish the memories you have helped us make. You made our dream--the dream of those 2 “youngish friends”--come true.
…And so ends this part of our journey. September 24, 2023 will be our last day in Leesburg. Let's continue making these family memories in Lovettsville and--soon to come--Hillsboro.
